It’s not uncommon to feel disillusioned by the state of the world we live in today, causing many individuals to steer clear of social media altogether. Nonetheless, for those of us who adore felines, scrolling through delightful cat photos can be just the pick-me-up we need to brighten our day. Among these charming kitties is Nora Jean, affectionately known as Nora Jean the Earless Queen. I chanced upon her on Instagram and recognized that she was a must-feature to spread her joy and put a smile on others’ faces. Thankfully, Nora Jean’s affectionate owners were glad to oblige with my inquiries about her. Read on to learn more about this extraordinary cat that will undoubtedly melt your heart. But before we delve into her tale, let’s pause to ruminate on why so many people resort to social media to find happiness.
Around one year ago, my life changed when I stumbled upon some pictures that made me realize I needed a certain cat in my life. Despite the anxiety I felt at the time, I managed to adopt her and named her Nora No Ears due to her unique personality and appearance. Nora has since brought countless blessings into my life, including appearing on The Kelly Clarkson Show and having her story shared worldwide. I feel incredibly lucky to have her as my best friend and hope to enjoy many more years together. Special thanks to @ashdc98 for knitting Nora’s cute ears and @dchsgiveshelter for introducing me to my furry soulmate. As a certified veterinary technician, I saw Nora’s adoption post on Dane County Humane Society’s Facebook page while at work and knew she was perfect for me. A friend kindly picked her up for me, and my wife met them halfway so that Nora could come straight to me for a checkup. Nora has since evolved from Nora No Ears to Nora Jean the Earless Queen, which perfectly suits her personality.
