Due to the care, nourishment, and affection he had received, Blackie made a remarkable recovery. His formerly emaciated body now had more substance, and his fur was once again smooth and shiny.

Watching him and Reiki play and enjoy their newfound freedom was proof that animals have an incredible strength and spirit.
